Command Sgt. Maj. Hu Rhodes is currently the Command Sergeant Major for U.S. Army Africa. He has 27 years in service with most of that time in the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Command Sgt. Maj. Rhodes has served as a Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant and Command Sergeant Major. Most recently, he served as the Commandant for the 7th Army NCO Academy.

Command Sgt. Maj. Rhodes has deployed on combat operations to various locations to include; Panama, Kuwait, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq. His awards include the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with 4 OLC’s and the Joint Commendation Medal. He has also earned the Combat Infantryman Badge with Star, The Expert Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge with two gold stars, Air Assault Wings, Pathfinder Badge and the Ranger Tab.
