August 29, 2010 Woman Hurts Back Jumping from Quarry Cliff A Kentucky woman injured her back on a rock after jumping from a cliff into a water-filled quarry. The woman, who was swimming with friends, was air-lifted to a local hospital. "It's very dangerous, especially in a quarry area like this," said Public Information Officer Deborah WIlliams. "If you decide you're going to jump off the cliff it's not a good idea. There can be debris in the water. Just hitting the water at that speed off a rock wall can be detrimental to your health."
