Tropical Forest Carbon Storage Map from NASA

A new map from NASA reveals the distribution of carbon stored in the tropical forests of over 75 countries, covering about 2.5 million hectares of forests. While the map data provide a baseline for carbon monitoring and research, the map itself serves as a benchmark for comparing forest cover and carbon stock change across regions and over time.
