Nixon Library Internships in Yorba Linda

The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, a nonpartisan federal institution operated by the National Archives and Records Administration, seeks talented and energetic interns in each of our three departments.

The Museum
The museum staff develops and installs both temporary and permanent exhibitions as well as preserves and catalogs the Library’s collection of priceless artifacts. Interns will work closely with staff to maintain collections records, store museum items, assist in preparing, installing, and removing exhibits, answer the public’s questions about the museum’s collection, and undertake research projects pertaining to public programming and exhibitions. For more information, contact Nixon@nara.gov.

The Education Department
The education staff oversees school tours, develops innovative educational resources for both the web and museum visitors, coordinates public events, and works closely with teachers and school districts to create curriculum and programming. Interns lead school tours, conduct research, develop educational materials, and assist with programs. For more information, contact NixonEducation@nara.gov.

The Archive
The archival staff is responsible for processing, preserving and making available to the public the documents, photographs, and tapes from the life and times of President Nixon. Interns work directly with either textual or audio visual archivists on a variety of different preservation, digitization and reference projects. For more information, contact Nixon@nara.gov.

Spaces are limited and internships are awarded on a rolling semester-by-semester basis by a competitive process.
