GDACS is a cooperation framework between the United Nations, the European Commission and disaster managers worldwide to improve alerts, information exchange and coordination in the first phase after major sudden-onset disasters.

SMS alert policy

05 Nov  00:00UTC
A reminder that due to an increase in registrations for SMS alerts, we modified in February the alerting policy. Only Red and Orange alerts are sent by SMS. In order to guarantee delivery of important alerts, no Green alerts will be sent. Email policy remains the same.
