Description of Project

The EA evaluates four alternatives for the rehabilitation of historic Peirce Mill in the Rock Creek Park Historic District, and for improving access and circulation within the site.  The purpose is to reopen the Mill as an operating water-powered mill so that it can meet the interpretive and educational missions of the park and improve accessibility and visitor movement throughout the site.

NPS has initiated review with the D.C. State Historic Preservation Office and anticipates concluding the consultation with a Memorandum of Agreement.
