Description of Project

The Smithsonian Institution and the National Capital Planning Commission will host a second public meeting on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on the construction of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, planned for a five-acre site on the National Mall. The event will be held at NCPC's offices, located at 401 9th Street, NW, Suite 500N, Washington, DC. The first meeting was held November 17, 2010 at the the National Museum of American History – Kenneth E. Behring Center.

Members of the public and local and federal agencies are encouraged to submit written comments on the draft Environmental Impact Study which is now available.
