Policy
Over the past decade, encroachment on the land, air, sea, and undersea space occupied by DoD ranges has become a significant detractor to quality military training.
The Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Installations and Environment) Sustainable Ranges Initiative is charged to develop a comprehensive response to encroachment in order to preserve DoD's capability to train and test on its land and sea ranges, operating areas, and airspace.
