    • I moved from RI to PA in 2010, but follow RI's members of Congress. I am proud to tell people here how well represented RI is, and how much the legislators from PA could learn from all of you. Thanks - however embarrassing the local politics in RI can be, all of you do the state proud on the national level.

    •  Dear Congreeman Cicillline, My hometown Belle Harbor, NY and The Rockaway Peninsula needs many miracles and they need a hero, I pray that it is you! PLEASE gather other Members of Congress and demand that they get The Army out there to protect my community! I hear we have some unemployed soldiers - let's put their training to good use, put them back to work and use their skills for CONSTRUCTIVE work, rather than DESTRUCTIVE work PLEASE! How much more do they have to endure? When the Noreaster was coming, FEMA put a 'CLOSED DUE TO BAD WEATHER ' sign up! I know these people, no one deserves to be treated the way that they have - ignored, disrespected, kept uninformed. These people need to be defended, that is why I thought we HAD A military! Instead of nation building elsewhere, how about protecting our people? How can this be happening a mere 3.5 hours from where I live? How can we allow this to happen? I think we are better than this! I KNOW you are better than this! I think The Rock deserves better than this. They need concern, they need compassion, they need food on a consistent basis. They need TEAMS of skilled people to help them with PTSSD. I cry all the time reading about what's going on there. I am shocked and sad. It literally hurts to cry now. PLEASE be our/their hero. Someone drove his solar generators from CO which can heat large areas, why isn't the Army spending money on THAT? I read there's some tanks that the Dept of Defense doesn't want, why not invest in Solar for this Disaster Area and Humanitarian Crisis? Why are there no large tents set up with heaters? The stories I am reading are HORRIFYING! They are cold, they are tired, tempers will get shorter, the holiday(s) is (are) coming! PLEASE HELP THEM! I am sure you can find plenty online, videos on YouTube but here's a recent story http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/16/hurricane-sandy-two-weeks_n_2132540.html?utm_hp_ref=tw#slide=1711546
