Chol-Bum "Mike" Kweon established the Gas Technologies Institute's engine research capability in Des Plaines, Ill., before joining the Army Research Laboratory, or ARL, in 2010. There, he designed, specified, procured, installed and commissioned a new engine bench from scratch, and performed various experimental engine combustion research including engine simulation work. He manages and directs research inside ARL's new Combustion Research Laboratory.
