Northeastern Tribal Health System

One of the largest and busiest health centers in the Oklahoma City Area is the one at Miami, Oklahoma, a community of about 25,000. Two physicians and one physician assistant are employed full time, and the center handles about 31,000 outpatients visits each year. A full range of primary care services are offered, supported by modern pharmacy, clinical laboratory, X-ray, dental, optometry, and nutrition experts. Referrals are made to the hospital in Claremore for secondary services needed.

Less than 100 miles from Tulsa and 23 miles from Joplin, Missouri, on Interstate Highway 44, Miami is a thriving town with good shops, schools, and housing opportunities. Grand Lake of the Cherokees, a strong attraction for tourists as well as residents, is just a few minutes south.
