The Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) has been tasked by the Governor to be the State Administering Agency (SAA) for U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant programs.
OKOHS was created in state statute in 2004 when the Oklahoma Homeland Security Act was passed by the Legislature and signed by Governor Henry. The duties of the Office were further outlined when Governor Henry issued Executive Order 2005-6.
