Interim Accreditation

In July 2006, the EAC adopted an interim accreditation program for testing labs. The interim program was adopted after it was determined that the EAC would not receive a recommended list of testing laboratories from the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) until 2007. Labs with interim accreditation may test only to the 2002 Voting System Standards.

SysTest Labs and Wyle Laboratories received interim accreditation. CIBER, Inc. applied, but its application was terminated and it was not accredited under EAC's interim program.
