The Technical Guidelines Development Committee (the “Development Committee”) has scheduled a plenary meeting for January 18 & 19, 2005. The Committee was established pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 15361(b)(1), to act in the public interest to assist the Executive Director of the Election Assistance Commission in the development of the voluntary voting system guidelines. The purpose of this meeting will be to receive updates and reports on the following: the Federal Voting Assistance Program Best Practices for Military and Overseas Voting, the EAC November Election Research Project, the EAC National Poll Worker Initiative and other general updates since the last public meeting.
