The U.S. Coast Guard’s Office of International Acquisition recently executed several foreign military sales (FMS) contracts to provide small boats and air assets to U.S. allied and partner nations.

The Coast Guard awarded a contract to Lockheed Martin Mission Systems & Sensors worth $19.7 million for production of five Mission Systems Pallets (MSP) for the Service’s fleet of HC-144A Ocean Sentry Maritime Patrol Aircraft.

On behalf of the Coast Guard, the U.S. Air Force has awarded a contract to Lockheed Martin Corporation worth $218 million for production of three HC-130J Super Hercules Long Range Surveillance aircraft, the Coast Guard’s seventh, eighth and ninth Super Hercules.

The U.S. Coast Guard executed final acceptance of the third National Security Cutter (NSC), Stratton (WMSL 752) on Sept. 21, 2012. Final acceptance marks the completion of Stratton’s warranty period. Stratton was delivered to the Coast Guard by Huntington-Ingalls Industries (HII) Sept. 2, 2011 and commissioned into service March 31, 2012.

The U.S. Coast Guard today released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the design and construction of the Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC).
