 Anita Turi-Wright is returning to the Trade Credit Insurance (TCI) Division as Director of the Southeast Region after 18 years at Ex-Im. Most recently, Anita worked as a Loan Specialist in the Trade Finance Division where she underwrote predominantly single buyer (ESS) and financial institution buyer credit (FIBC) polices. From 2002-2010, she was a Relationship Manager in the Trade Finance & Insurance Division reviewing short-, medium- and long-term transactions, with a particular focus on China. Anita started in the multi-buyer group as a Loan Specialist from 1994-1999. She holds an MBA from Marymount University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from University of Maryland-College Park. |
Anita's team will be responsible for Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Puerto Rico and will include Jon Clark, Daria Irons, Mohammad Aslam, and Dario Avello, as well as a new Relationship Manager, Candice Woods, who joins TCI from the Operations Divison.
Another new Relationship Manager, Jaime Gillard, is also joining TCI from the Operations Division. Jaime will be on Christine Gerges' team covering the Western Region. Remember that all brokers listed on our Active Broker List have attended an Ex-Im Bank Broker Training within the last year and/or have at least one current Ex-Im policy as of the prior month-end date. Individuals must be physically based in the state we list them in. Please remember to let Amy Shinkman know if any information on the list is out of date or if you have other questions about the website listing. Also note that all brokers with current registration forms are listed on Ex-Im Online, even if they are not on the Active Broker List. Our Ex-Im Online Broker Focus Group meets quarterly by webinar. The group is led by Lauren Kirsch of our Information Management Technology division; Lauren addresses broker feedback and provides details of upcoming changes to the system. We are now up to nearly 400 Express Insurance policies on the books, and more than 95% of Express Insurance policies have a broker. New Regional Office StaffFour new staff joined our field staff over the summer, in three new offices.  John Brislin joined our new Seattle office from the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington (EFACW) where he had served as President and CEO since May 2010. John has over 24 years of international banking experience. Most recently, he was a Global Trade Sales Officer at Union Bank. John was appointed to the 2012 National Advisory Committee for Ex-Im Bank and received the City-State Partner of the Year Award at our annual conference this year on behalf of his former employer.  Denis Griffin is based in our new Minneapolis office. Denis brings an extensive 25 year career in business development and sales. From 2003 to 2009, he was the Minneapolis Regional Manager for Atradius Trade Credit Insurance where he gained valuable experience selling export credit insurance. Prior to working at Atradius, Mr. Griffin worked for some of the world's leading electronics companies including Philips Electronics of The Netherlands and Kyocera Corporation of Japan. Mr. Griffin graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia and received an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis.  Susan Kintanar is now in our new Atlanta office, having joined Ex-Im from Regions Bank, one of the top 15 banks in the US and an active Ex-Im Bank and SBA lender. Susan has worked in international banking for over 20 years, working with the Asian International Bank, UBAF Arab American Bank, European American Bank, National Bank of Canada, Fidelity National Bank, and Citibank. She graduated from New York University with a Master's Degree in Industrial Psychology and has an MBA in Strategic Management from Pace University NY.  Elena Mendez joined Ex-Im's Southeast Regional Office in Miami as an Export Finance Manager. Elena has spent the majority of her banking career in international trade, business development and relationship banking. Prior to joining Ex-Im Bank, she worked for Citibank, Dresdner Bank, and BHD Cayman International Bank. Elena received a Master of International Business degree from Florida International University (FIU), Miami, FL; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL.
