The recently completed 2011 Legislative Session was clearly one of the most positive and productive in many years. Working together with Governor Andrew Cuomo, we took a series of bold and decisive steps to help move our State back in the right direction. Included among this year’s long list of accomplishments are the following:

A Responsible On-Time Budget: This year’s on-time State Budget not only reduced spending for the first time in years, it also closed a $10 billion budget gap without resorting to any new tax and fee increases. This fiscally responsible plan will also help to create new jobs and revitalize our economy by allowing burdensome taxes on small businesses to expire.
