ISR Agency makes history showcasing legacy

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO - LACKLAND, Texas -- Yumiko and SMSgt. Leon Southard II, the mother and step-father of the late Senior Airman Julian Scholten, hold a memorial to their son who died in the crash of a U-28 aircraft near camp Lemonnier, Djibuti, in February 2012. The younger Scholten, one of 51 Silent Warriors lost in the line of duty since the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency began 64 years ago, was honored during the agency's Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony Sept. 28 here.
