Developing Clean Technology

As the country and the world demand increased amounts and more diversity in their energy sources, the Delta region must look for regional opportunities to take advantage of the new energy economy. Chairman Masingill has spearheaded the Growing Clean Technology Clusters in the Delta Initiative, the purpose of which is to take advantage of the opportunities in this emerging sector by building on the region’s assets.

The Delta region is strategically positioned to take advantage of the new energy economy due a number of factors including location, resources, and significant biomass production. The Delta Regional Authority is working to lay out a framework for the development of clean technology clusters in the Delta region and the role it can play in supporting this development.
