Congressman Tim Huelskamp represents the 1st District of Kansas
Tim Huelskamp (KS-01) is serving his first term as a United States Representative. His committee assignments include Budget, Agriculture, and Veterans’ Affairs, and he is an active member of the conservative Republican Study Committee. He is a co-founder of “Conversations with Conservatives,” a monthly media opportunity for House conservatives. In the U.S. House, Tim Huelskamp has proven a reliable and effective leader for restoring fiscal responsibility, promoting limited government, and defending the culture of life and the role of family. Throughout several spending and debt debates of 2011 and 2012, Congressman Huelskamp remained true to his conservative convictions, leading the opposition to Republican deals that abandoned conservative principles. Before coming to Congress, Tim Huelskamp served 14 years as the conservative leader in the Kansas State Senate. Congressman and Mrs. Huelskamp are the proud parents of four adopted children.
