BBG Board Meeting, October 11, 2012

The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) will hold a full board meeting from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, 2012, at BBG Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The BBG will recognize the David Burke Distinguished Journalism Awards winners. The Board also will receive and consider proposed BBG meeting dates in 2013 and consider a resolution honoring Leo Sarkisian of the Voice of America for his service. The BBG will recognize the anniversaries of Agency language services, receive a budget update, as well as reports from the International Broadcasting Bureau Director, the Technology, Services and Innovation Director, the Communications and External Affairs Director, the VOA Director, the Office of Cuba Broadcasting Director, and the Presidents of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, and the Middle East Broadcasting Networks.

The public seating capacity has been reached, but members of the public are invited to view the session both live and on-demand.
