National Performance Measures for AmeriCorps State and National Programs

The mission of the Corporation for National and Community Service (the Corporation) is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering. The Corporation’s funding priorities are projects that address compelling, unmet needs in six national service focus areas: Education, Healthy Futures, Economic Opportunities, Environmental Stewardship, Veterans and Military Families, and Disaster Services. In December 2009, the Corporation released national performance measures within these focus areas in order to aggregate the results of similar programs and demonstrate the impact of AmeriCorps services.

Project STAR in collaboration with the Corporation, developed National Performance Measure Instrument Packets to assist programs in implementing performance measurement for national measures. Additional information on the national performance measures is provided in the links below.

For programs who are implementing national performance measures for FY 2011.

For programs determining whether to opt-in to the national measures for FY 2012.

If you have questions regarding these national measures, please contact your program officer. If you have questions about how to use these national performance measure instrument packets, contact Project STAR at 1-800-548-3656 or email STAR@jbsinternational.com.
