Sarbanes Receives 100 percent Score from Defenders of Wildlife February 24, 2011, Washington, DC - The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund has announced that Congressman John Sarbanes has received a 100 percent rating on their Report Card for the 111th Congress. “I am proud to work with advocates like the Defenders of Wildlife to protect our nation’s wildlife, their habitat and natural ecosystems,” said Congressman John Sarbanes. “Our nation is facing a multitude of environmental problems and I will continue to fight for solutions that preserve the natural world for future generations.” Sarbanes has served on the Natural Resources Committee since he first came to Congress in 2007, and has worked to bring attention and resources to Chesapeake Bay preservation, the Patuxent Wildlife Research Refuge, and other natural resources in Maryland. He has authored several bills on the Chesapeake Bay and the No Child Left Inside environmental education bill.
