Abstract:
Python has become a common programming language for creating robust scientific software tools. Thanks to the availability of a powerful core of open source scientific modules (NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib), a number of libraries have been developed over the past few years to address field specific computing needs using Python. In this presentation the design, development and uses of one such domain specific package, nmrglue, will be discussed.

Nmrglue is a module for working with Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) data in Python. Nmrglue provides a powerful environment for rapidly developing new methods for processing, analyzing, and visualizing NMR data as well as a framework for connecting existing NMR software packages.
