As a parent of a child with Crohn’s Disease, I have witnessed first-hand the often debilitating effects of this disease and am dedicated to raising awareness about issues related to it through the Crohn's and Colitis Caucus.
I had that opportunity following my May 25 meeting members of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) and I will share their valuable information as we work toward expanding research and providing insurance and disability coverage for people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Upcoming Events:
October 12: The Caucus hosts a kick-off briefing from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. in Room B-369 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The reception will provide attendees with an introduction to the Congressional Crohn's and Colitis Caucus, as well as an open dialogue with a panel of experts on the need for expanded research, better treatment options, therapies, genetics, and nutrition for patients.
