Serving as your Representative in Washington has afforded me hundreds of opportunities to successfully amend our laws so that they better serve our nation. In addition to writing legislation, debating on the House floor, offering amendments, and chairing and participating in committee hearings, I cast votes on the wide variety of issues presented on the House floor for action. Please feel free to call or write me at my Washington legislative office to share your views and concerns about the issues facing the nation. Please note that because of enhanced security following the fall 2001 anthrax attack, all mail sent to Congressional offices in Washington is irradiated to guard against contamination. That being the case, it may be faster to fax or email a letter to me or to write to one of my district offices.
My role as your Representative in the U.S. House has likewise given me the opportunity to help my constituents on an individual level. Whether it be helping you address a personal matter with a federal agency, arrange tours of select sites in Washington, D.C., provide aid in obtaining a federal grant or purchase a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol--I can help you with all these matters and much more.
