2.0 Site Status Summary

Originally licensed as Molly-Corp, a rare earth mine. Thorium concentrations exist at levels greater than .05% by weight. The waste is present in both settling ponds and a 14 mile long waste disposal tube that has leaked on both Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service land. The tube extends to Lake Ivanpah near the Nevada border.

Amending license to an Industrial Broadscope with multiple jurisdiction by the California Department of Toxics, Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service.
