Complex Materials Sites Undergoing Decommissioning - region IOf the 63 complex materials sites that are currently undergoing decommissioning in the United States, 17 sites in Region I are regulated by the States of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Jersey, which the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has designated as Agreement States. The map to the right illustrates the relative locations of these sites, and the tables below provide links to their descriptions, which include site status summaries, any major technical or regulatory issues, and the estimated date for closure of each site. These site descriptions were provided by the respective Agreement States, and the NRC makes no claim regarding the validity of that information.
