Lardner's Point Park: A New Beginning
Local redevelopment – from Main Street improvements, to rebuilding commercial corridors, to creating recreational open space—is among the strongest economic forces in our country. Our long-term recovery is dependent on stimulating local economic growth, and that is why I have made improving the neighborhoods of Southeastern Pennsylvania one of my top priorities. Reinvigorating communities to be greener, safer, and more livable will improve the quality of life for residents and visitors and stimulate job creation here at home.
Good Jobs, Green Jobs
This week, I had the opportunity to address the Good Jobs, Green Jobs East conference, which was held right here in Philadelphia. This organization, now in its 5th year, holds regional conferences to move the country ‘forward, to a cleaner and more prosperous economy’.
