On October 26, 2007, Major General Edward G. Usher, Deputy Commander for Installations and Logistics, and Commissioner James A. Williams of GSA's Federal Acquisition Service signed a Memorandum of Agreement to designate GSA as the Marine Corps' 4th-party logistics (4PL) provider for readily available commercial supplies.

USMC ServMart is a partnership between the U.S. Marine Corps and GSA to provide supply support for Marines worldwide. The goal of the partnership is to provide Marine Corps customers with quick, consistent access to a wide array of products, while minimizing time and costs spent on routine purchases. Marine users can find and order an expanded assortment of office supplies, tools and computer products all at competitive prices for delivery anywhere on the globe. The program involves support through both traditional "brick and mortar" retail stores on select Marine bases as well as through the USMC ServMart Web site.
