How did contaminants get there?
Technical Area 21
TA-21 in 2008... and in 2011
Technical Area 21 (TA-21), also known as DP Site was the site of chemical research for refining plutonium and plutonium metal production from 1945 to 1978.
Between 2008 and 2011, MDAs B, U, and V were excavated and removed.
- 24 buildings were demolished in 2010 and 2011
- MDAs A and T still remain for remediation as of 2012
