The FY 2010 AFR provides important financial and performance information for the Department of the Interior. It is our principal publication and report to Congress and the American people on our stewardship, management, and leadership of the public funds entrusted to us. For the thirteenth straight year, the consolidated financial statements in this report received a clean (unqualified) opinion from an independent auditing firm. In FY 2009, DOI has no material weaknesses and completed the AFR in 46 days.
Government Performance and Results Act Strategic Plan
The Department's FY2011 - FY2016 strategic plan is the linchpin that integrates DOI management. The plan organizes the Department's goals and department-level performance measures into four mission areas, with bureau inputs, outputs, and actions linked to these measures. Bureau plans tier from this cohesive framework.
