Washington, D.C., June 20, 2002 — Marc Nathanson, Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), will discuss “Post-September 11 Developments in U.S. International Broadcasting: Afghanistan, The Middle East and Beyond” at a National Press Club Afternoon Newsmaker event on June 26, 2002.
Nathanson, who has chaired the BBG since its inception as an independent federal agency in October 1999, will outline new broadcasting initiatives under way in Afghanistan and other parts of the world.
