Senior Center
Mission: To provide services to the Pueblo of Jemez tribal members, 55 years of age and over, residing on the Jemez lands and within the service area. To serve those with the greatest economic and social need(s), which include low-income, frail, and impaired elderly.
Goals: The goal of the program is to improve and maintain the quality of life for all eligible elders by providing:
-A well-balanced meal that meets the standard 1/3 Recommended Dietary Allowances, five days per week, one meal per day.
-Information and referrals to help identifying and access available services to meet their needs.
-Education and awareness for senior citizens, through announcements at the Senior Citizens Center and through presentations on topics relevant to the senior citizens in the Pueblo.
-Awareness and training on topics relating to health, nutrition, shopping, food preparations and other related subjects.
-Coordination of services to best meet the needs of the senior citizens.
-Transportation services to and from the Senior Center for shopping, field trips, and other events.
-Promotion of community responsibility in caring for senior citizens in need.
-Collaboration with the Community Wellness Program to develop and implement an exercise and wellness program for the elderly.
Program Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Lunch - Congregate Meals Served, Monday through Thursday - 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Lunch - Home Delivered Meals, Monday through Thursday - 10:45 to 11:15 AM
Breakfast - Home Delivered on Friday - 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM
Breakfast - Congregate on Friday - 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM
