OTTD Mission Statement
The mission of the OTTD is to facilitate the utilization and further development of innovative technologies within the global scientific community to advance the programmatic goals of the NIDDK, to further scientific knowledge, and to benefit public health. The OTTD strives to achieve its mission by facilitating:
- formal basic and clinical research and development partnerships with external organizations;
- the exchange of research materials with the global research community;
- the identification and appropriate protection of intellectual property through patenting and contracts; and
- the promotion of innovative NIDDK technologies to the global scientific community.
