Location: M&D Professional Services, Richland, WA
Materials expert, Dick Moen, in conjunction with PNNL and M&D Professional Services, will be presenting two half-day segments of his Materials Consult course on February 12 and 13 at the M&D Professional Services building in Richland. Class will be held from 12:30-4:30 each day.
Moen, has developed a technical course aimed at the use of materials in the ASME Code - both the Boiler and Pressure Vessel part and the Piping Code. This course has been presented elsewhere in the U.S. and Canada and has been well received. Moen is also the author of a popular book on the same subject, now on its 10th revision.
Attendees will receive a full set of class notes covering all aspects of the course. Subjects encompass many of the common terms used, the Unified Numbering System for alloys, key features of each of the construction Code books, finding the right specifications - and materials, locating the proper allowable stresses and properties needed for design, and learning where to locate other helpful materials information within the various Codes.
The cost of the two afternoon classes will be $250 and that includes a notebook with class overhead view graphs and notes.
