Today, more than ever, consumers have the ability and interest to invest in clean energy. Here in our region, the Tri-Cities Research District (TCRD) enables research and technology companies to develop, commercialize, and market products worldwide using sustainable energy solutions-like clean energy. For years, the TCRD, and more recently, the Mid-Columbia Energy Initiative, have been pursuing clean energy as fundamental drivers of local development.

By identifying, designing, and implementing clean energy policy and technology solutions, we are delivering important environmental and economic benefits. However, a pressing question remains: what actions are needed to cause a paradigm shift and initiate this "clean energy revolution"?

The MIT Enterprise Forum presents "The Clean Energy Revolution" as the topic for its May broadcast.

Attend this forum and hear our panelists engage in a lively debate as they argue their viewpoints on the pros and cons of clean energy solutions; who should be leading the charge, and the steps and strategies energy entrepreneurs can follow to innovate and place themselves at the forefront of the energy revolution.

Featured speakers include:

  • Brian Dumaine, Global Editor, Fortune magazine; author of "The Plot to Save the Planet"
  • Nancy Floyd, Founder and Managing Director, Nth Power
  • Scott Stern, visiting Professor, MIT Sloan School
  • Kevin Surace, CEO, Serious Materials; Inc. magazine 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year

To register, contact Teresa Claar (509-375-2068) with the following information for each attendee: name, company/organization affiliation, phone number, and e-mail. There is no charge to attend.

Please pre-register by Wednesday, April 28, 2010.
