Branch Financial Support Resources - These Service-specific financial resources provide emergency assistance as well as support for long-term financial health.

Disabled Children's Relief Fund (DCRF) - DCRF is a nonprofit organization that provides disabled children with assistance to obtain wheelchairs, orthopedic braces, walkers, lifts, hearing aids, eyeglasses, medical equipment, physical therapy, and surgery. The DCRF focuses special attention on helping children throughout the United States that do not have adequate health insurance, especially the physically challenged. The DCRF website provides news, a description of the available services, clients, and contact information for the organization.

Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance (FSSA) - The FSSA program is available to those members living in overseas locations. FSSA increases a member's basic allowance for subsistence (BAS) by an amount intended to remove the member's household from eligibility for benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). FSSA will be paid in an amount equal to the total dollars required to bring that member's household income to 130 percent of the federal poverty line.

Social Security Benefits for Children with Disabilities - This booklet is primarily written for the parents and caregivers of children with disabilities and adults disabled since childhood. It explains the kinds of Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits a child with a disability might be eligible for and explains how disability claims for children are evaluated.

Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) TSP is a retirement savings and investment plan for federal employees and members of the uniformed services, including the Ready Reserve. It offers the same types of savings and tax benefits that many private corporations offer their employees under 401(k) plans. The TSP website provides information on plan participation, investment funds, planning tools, and participant support.
