Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Valley is from Monson, Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He enlisted in the Army as an Intelligence Analyst in 1990 and was later commissioned through OCS as a Second Lieutenant in the Adjutant General’s Corps with a branch detail to Field Artillery in 1992.

During his initial tour he served with the 2nd Infantry Division as a Fire Support Officer, 8-8th Field Artillery Battalion at Camp Stanley, Korea in 1993. After leaving Korea, he was assigned to Fort Sill as a Fire Direction Officer and an Ammunition Platoon Leader for 5/18 FA BN (MLRS). After completing his branch detail with the Field Artillery, he attended training at the Adjutant General Officer Advanced Course in 1996 and served in a variety of positions from 1997 to 2003 to include the S1/S4 New England Recruiting Battalion; Company Commander for A 1/38 Infantry (Basic Combat Training), BN S3 30th AG Reception Battalion, Fort Benning, GA; and Installation Strength Manager, JRTC & Fort Polk. After graduating from the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in June of 2004, LTC Valley was assigned as the Enlisted Strength Manager, V Corps, Heidelberg, Germany where he also deployed from December 2005 – December 2006 as the Corps Strength Manager, Multi-National Corps Iraq. After departing Germany, LTC Valley served with Human Resources Command, Alexandria, Virginia from July 2007 – July 2010 as the OCONUS/I Corps Plans Officer, the Strategic Readiness Officer, and the Detailed Assignments Branch Chief, Readiness Division, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate. Most recently, LTC Valley served as the Assistant Chief of Staff, G1 for the 8th Theater Sustainment Command, Fort Shafter, Hawaii . LTC Valley is a graduate of the Field Artillery Basic Course, the Adjutant General Officer Advanced Course, the Combined Arms Services and Staff School, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University.

LTC Valley’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with campaign star, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korea Defense Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Army Good Conduct Medal and the Parachutist Badge. LTC Valley married and they have 2 children.
