Fleet Week’s Parade of Ships lands in San Francisco Bay

The U.S. Navy’s USS Preble, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, cruises through the San Francisco Bay past Alcatraz Island, Oct. 6, 2012, during San Francisco Fleet Week 2012’s Parade of Ships event. Nine sea vessels belonging to the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, San Francisco Fire Department and the Canadian Navy entered the San Francisco Bay underneath the Golden Gate Bridge in a prestigious and ceremonial event – tradition to San Francisco Fleet Week.
