NOTICE - Changes to FT-900: U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services

Beginning with the January 2012 statistics scheduled for release on March 9, 2012, the U.S. Census Bureau will publish altered versions of both Exhibit 18 and Supplemental Exhibit 3 of the FT-900: U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services. The countries selected in each exhibit will change, but the general structure will remain the same.

Exhibit 18 - Motor Vehicles and Parts by Selected Countries

In order to reflect a more comprehensive picture of current U.S. trade in motor vehicles, Exhibit 18 - Motor Vehicles and Parts by Selected Countries will see the following country changes:

Exports:

  • Add: Chile, China, Colombia, France, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Nigeria, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela
  • Remove: Austria, Sweden, Taiwan

Imports:

  • Add: China, Italy, South Africa, Thailand
  • Remove: Australia, Belgium, Saudi Arabia

Supplemental Exhibit 3 - Imports of Crude Oil by Country

In order to reflect a more comprehensive picture of current U.S. trade in crude oil, Supplemental Exhibit 3 - Imports of Crude Oil by Country will see the following country changes:

Imports:

  • Add: Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Ghana, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Yemen
  • Remove: Bahamas, Brunei, Cameroon, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Netherlands Antilles
