WASHINGTON - U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke today announced a $672,280 Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant to the city of Gadsden and Gadsden Water Works and Sewer Board of Gadsden, Ala., to construct water and sewage system infrastructure along Airport Road that will support new businesses development. The project, made possible because of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, is expected to create jobs and generate private investment in the region.
