Purpose:At this conference you will learn about key facets of the federal SBIR/STTR (Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer) programs, and how the programs fit within the innovation ecosystem. Agenda:Conference highlights include: Sunday, November 6: Tech Translation Workshop – Need help translating your SBIR/STTR technology into the marketplace? The National Innovation Marketplace is a service provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) with support from Planet Eureka! At this workshop, you'll get started "translating" your SBIR/STTR technology into a simple description that anyone can understand, regardless of their background. Monday, November 7: Keynote Speaker – U. S. Senator Mary Landrieu, (D) LA; SBIR/STTR Program Overview by Federal Agencies and One–on–One meetings with Federal Agency SBIR representatives. Tuesday, November 8 and Wednesday, November 9: Federal Agency program overviews, such as "Update on Recent Patent Legislation and Programs Offered by USPTO to SBIR/Small Business", and "Proposal Preparation: Phase One SBIR/STTR proposals," and more.
