This July 2012 update includes updates to the Overview and Progress Report and the NAPCS Product Lists pages.

  Posted February 2010

The last (April 2007) update of this webpage announced that 102 NAPCS product lists had been developed or were under development pursuant to Phases I - III of the 3-country NAPCS project. Of this number, the update displayed 97 product lists, including 71 trilateral or bilateral lists designated to be final, 23 trilateral lists designated near-final, and 3 designated as US-only at that time. It also indicated that another 5 lists were still under development and not ready for display; these included list for NAICS 4885-Freight Transportation Arrangement, 4889-Other Support Activities for Transportation, 4931-Warehousing and Storage, 54142-Industrial Design Services, and 54143-Graphic Design Services. The displayed lists were edited to: standardize the table formats and the style conventions used in writing product titles and definitions; provide identical titles and definitions for products that are common to multiple lists; and extend or standardize the cross-referencing notations used to identify NAPCS products that are common to multiple NAPCS lists.

In comparison, this February 2010 update displays all 102 finalized product lists that resulted from Phases I -III of NAPCS, with 98 designated as trilateral, 3 as bilateral (US, Mexico), and one as US-only. In addition, the lists displayed in this update incorporate several more recent revisions to product lists and/or to product titles and definitions that resulted from joint-country reviews or from independent US reviews conducted during the 2007-9 period.
