Historical Data Tabulations by Enterprise Size-2002

  2002 Annual Tabulations  


Data include number of firms, number of establishments, employment, annual payroll, and estimated receipts by employment size & receipt size of the enterprise. The industry classification is based on 1997 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. An establishment with 0 employment is an establishment reporting no paid employees in the mid-March pay period, but paid employees at some time during the year.

Employment change data include the number of establishments and corresponding employment change for births, deaths, expansions, and contractions by employment size of enterprise. The industry classification is based on 1997 NAICS codes.
