The following websites are intended to be support resources for Special Needs/Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) service providers.

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) The VA provides the well earned, world-class benefits and services for veterans, by adhering to the highest standards of compassion, commitment, excellence, professionalism, integrity, accountability and stewardship. The VA homepage provides veterans and their family members with a variety of information related to the benefits and services offered by the VA.

Exceptional Family Member Program Mobile Website The EFMP mobile website helps military families quickly and easily access information about the EFMP and services using a mobile device with an Internet connection. Features include program overview, links to enrollment forms and Service-specific EFMP websites, updated tools and resources, and an EFMP locator application.

HOMEFRONTConnections Special Needs/EFMP Community is a DoD site that was established to provide a social networking environment for those who are in the military, in a military family, or who support the military and their families. HOMEFRONTConnections provides a password protected location to meet online. Within the site, groups can share best practices, post pictures and videos, or talk about the work they are doing to support service members and their families. This is also a place where family members can meet each other or establish family readiness groups on-line. Information is not shared with marketers, nor will commercial groups advertise here. Registration is required.

Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense Reserve Affairs The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Reserve Affairs homepage provides information on matters which involve the Reserve components of the Military Services, as well as the Army National Guard and Air National Guard.

OurMilitary.mil The DoD Office of Community Relations manages the OurMililitary.mil website content and incorporates new media outlets and social networking technologies in outreach initiatives to virtual communities. OurMilitary.mil is a public affairs initiative intended to communicate citizen support to the men and women serving in the Military Services.

MilitaryINSTALLATIONS is a resource available on MilitaryHOMEFRONT that provides contact information for programs and services, maps and directions, links to comprehensive location overviews, and community points of interest for military installations worldwide. Family Service Centers located on military installations, both in the continental United States and overseas, provide a wide variety of support services for families with special needs members. Contact information for installation services can be found under the program/services titled "Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS)," "Enrollment/EFMP," "Exceptional Family Member Program/Special Needs," and "Family Support/EFMP."

Military OneSource is a Department of Defense (DoD) sponsored benefit available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Military OneSource provides dedicated special needs consultation, research, resources and materials intended to enhance current military services available to families with special needs. For more information, visit Military OneSource or call 1-800-342-9647 in the United States. The Military OneSource website lists specific dialing information for other countries.

United We Serve is a nationwide service initiative that help meet growing social needs resulting from the economic downturn. This initiative expands the impact of existing organizations by engaging new volunteers in their work and encourages volunteers to develop their own "do-it-yourself" projects.

Joining Forces is a comprehensive national initiative to mobilize all sectors of society to give service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned. In this ongoing effort, issues of special importance to military families are being highlighted such as employment, education, and wellness.
