- GTS currently operates a Beechcraft King Air 200 that has been modified for installation of a belly-mounted radar antenna array weighing up to 120 pounds. The radome can accommodate antennas up to 46 inches in diameter with full rotation about the yaw axis. Alternately, it can accommodate antennas over 70 inches long with partial rotation about the roll axis of the aircraft.
GTS is capable of construction, installation and ground testing of prototype systems installed on the aircraft. The aircraft is positioned inside a 10,000 sq ft hangar with three furnished offices including telephone, fax and computer outlets. External aircraft power is available and a computer USB “umbilical” cord capability is provided. This enables computer operation of a mission system installed on the aircraft via the comfort of the furnished hangar lab.
