Until we meet again

Members of the 403rd Wing render a final salute to the second of two aircraft headed to Southwest Asia in support of overseas contingency operations. The 345th Airlift Squadron "Golden Eagles" deployed May 9, one year ahead of schedule as they reached their full operation capability earlier than required. The 345th AS will be the lead squadron in the Total Force Integration effort with their Reserve squadron counterparts, the 815th AS "Flying Jennies." (U.S. Air Force photo by Maj. Heather Newcomb)

Going out with a splash

Col. Louis Patriquin, 403rd Wing Operations Group commander, is doused with water by members of the 345th and 815th Airlift Squadrons after completing his final flight on a C-130J-30 Sept. 20, 2011 as a member of the 403rd Wing. Two C-130J-30s carrying members of the 403rd Wing and 815th and 345th Airlift Squadrons flew over the Roberts Maintenance Building May 19. The group returned to Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. from Afghanistan after deploying nearly 50 airmen in January.

Deployed total force C-130 unit shatters airdrop record

Tech. Sgt. Josh Romero puts a parachute on while preparing for an airdrop mission Feb. 2, 2011, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. During the month of January, the 772nd Expeditionary Airlift Squadron moved close to 4,000 passengers and flew more than 420 sorties with approximately 400 flight hours and also broke a record by completing 51 airdrop missions in a one-month period.
