Advisory: Meeting Notice for Task Force on Early Childhood Assessment

Iowa Department of Education Director Jason Glass today announced a meeting of the Task Force on Early Childhood Assessment on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The meeting will take place at the West Des Moines Learning Resource Center, 3550 Mills Civic Parkway, in West Des Moines.

 

Advisory: Iowa students will tap their ‘Super Powers’ on Wednesday

About 200 middle school students and teachers from across the state will learn how eating right and staying active bring out the super powers inside them at the annual Super Power Summit on Wednesday at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust St., in Des Moines. The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., provides wellness information that students and teachers can take back to their own schools.
