In the undeniable age of online social networking, SACNAS still believes in the power of face-to-face connections. SACNAS events bring together a national network of talented students and science professionals committed to increasing the the participation of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in science.
SACNAS offers a number of events annually:
- Leadership Program: week-long institute offered in the summer in Washington, D.C.
- National Conference: annual meeting of the organization scheduled in the fall (October 27-30, 2011 in San Jose, California)
- Regional Meetings: one- to two-day events organized by SACNAS chapters in late winter through spring
